Red can with white text. One white band at top of can, two at bottom. “Spalding Tennis Balls” written at an upward angle in white. “CHAMPIONSHIP” in blue. Spalding logo at top of can with “REG. U.S. PAT. OFF.” underneath. Top band reads “PRESSURE PACKED – HERMETICALLY SEALED – FOR HARD WEAR EVERYWHERE” Bottom bands read “APPROVED BY UNITED STATES LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION” and “BRITISH LTA – CANADIAN LTA – INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION – FRENCH LTA – AUSTRALIAN LTA”. One of the few known cans with a 1/4 wide key wind strip.
